Garth Towell joined the Twinsaver Group as a Chief Executive Officer in 2015. He has overall accountability to shareholders for the effective leadership of the operating entity, ensuring value creation on future exit, complemented with a deep belief that authentic leadership is critical to inspiring a vision, entrenching societal significance, achieving success and driving engagement.
Prior to joining the Twinsaver Group, Garth spent over 18 years at Kimberly-Clark Corporation where he held several senior organisation leadership and executive director roles in South Africa and across the Middle East, eastern Europe and north/west Africa. He spent 6 years abroad, based out of the K-CC European office in the United Kingdom.
He is Johannesburg-born and based and a family man first and fore-most, dedicated to his wife, Lynn, and two children, Ryan and Megan. He spends his spare time competing on the squash court and golf course. He is an avid fan of Manchester United and South African sport representatives.
He holds Bachelor of Commerce and LLB degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand and currently serves on the boards of The Institute of Race Relations (IRR), The Paper Manufacturing Association of South Africa (PAMSA), The South African Football Association (SDA), The Sisters of Mercy Trust, and previously served on the board of the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM).
Chevonne Wilkins joined Twinsaver Group as Marketing Director in June 2015. She is responsible for building and maintaining a profitable brand portfolio through the development and implementation of marketing strategies and plans across the business.
Prior to joining Twinsaver Group, Chevonne has over 15 years’ experience in the FMCG industry where she has held various marketing and commercial roles across personal care and food and beverage industries.
A “home-body” who enjoys spending time with family and friends, she would like to leave a legacy of having made a positive difference to the organisation and its people.
She holds a BA degree and Post Graduate diploma in Marketing Management from UNISA.
Dion De Graaff joined Twinsaver Group as the Chief Operating Officer in 2015. He is responsible for transforming the organisations performance to drive value creation and overseas Finance, IT, Operations and Supply Chain. Dion is also the Chairman of the Neopak Recycling Board, a joint venture operation.
Prior to joining Twinsaver Group, Dion has spent over 20 years in senior executive and directorship roles across a number of industries and portfolios. During this time he has lead functions and businesses across Africa with a view to transformative change and value creation, including Africa expansion strategies for large multi-nationals. Most recently he headed up the Africa region for Stanley Black & Decker.
He is a family man who loves playing golf and confesses to be obsessed with the sport.
Dion holds an MBA from Wits University Business School, CIMA and CIS.
Evelyn De Wee joined Twinsaver Group as a Human Resources Director in 2016. The core function of her role is to lead and direct the development, alignment and execution of the Company’s Human Resources and People Strategy.
Prior to joining Twinsaver Group, Evelyn occupied various positions of increasing responsibility in Human Capital Management, culminating in an executive position as the HR Director for the Imperial Group LTD within the Vehicle Retail, Rental & Aftermarket Parts Division.
Evelyn is married to Mark and has a beautiful daughter, Danniella Paton. Travelling and Spending time with her family is one of Evelyn’s greatest joys in life.
Evelyn holds a BA Degree, specialising in HR & Psychology from the University of the Witwatersrand and has completed Leadership Development Programmes both at Wits Business School and GIBS. She is a registered Chartered HR Professional with the SA Board of People Practices (SABPP) as well as a Commissioner of Oaths.
Joanne Gould joined Twinsaver Group as a Chief Operating Officer in 2015. She is responsible for ensuring the commercial performance of the Group to create value across the business.
Prior to joining Twinsaver Group, Joanne spent over 20 years in marketing and general management in FMCG both within SA and internationally. During her time, she held several senior marketing roles and leadership positions (Managing Director) across an array of FMCG multi-national companies including Best Foods (now Unilever), SC Johnson, Coca-Cola and Kimberly-Clark.
Joanne is married with grown up children. She enjoys all things sporty and active, and travelling – she has visited 60 countries, and loves experiencing their culture and food.
Joanne has served on several boards including the Marketing Association of SA and the Advertising Standards Authority of SA and holds a National Diploma in Marketing and Sales Management.
Mervyn Pillay joined Twinsaver Group as Financial Director in August 2011. He is responsible for providing the full spectrum of Financial & IT support towards enabling and delivering the Twinsaver Strategy.
Prior to joining the Twinsaver Group, Mervyn spent over 20 years within a major multinational FMCG company in a variety of senior financial roles.
His roles included Financial Manager for Supply Chain & Manufacturing where he was responsible for providing the full commercial support across South Africa, Group Financial Accountant, and Finance Director Customer Development.
In his personal time Mervyn enjoys a spin class, gymming, jogging, and all things active.
He also loves cooking, baking, and the Jozi dining scene.
Mervyn holds a BCom degree from UKZN and a postgraduate CIMA qualification.
Paul Richards joined Twinsaver Group as Customer Management Director in August, 2015. He is responsible for leading the Key Account and Sales Operation teams to deliver the business and brand strategies.
Upon joining Twinsaver Group, Paul brought with him 17 years experience in the FMCG industry working across a vast range of categories and brands. He has customer and sales operations experience across all trade channels and is passionate about building high performing teams.
Paul is married and has two very energetic young boys. He enjoys triathlons and ultra-distance running events.
Paul holds an IMM & B Tech Sales and Marketing Degree and is a part of the dynamic Executive Leadership Team for the Twinsaver Group.
Sean Nieuwenhuys joined Twinsaver Group as an Operations Director in November 2006. He is responsible for all operations functions.
Upon joining Twinsaver Group, Sean brought with him over 23 years experience in manufacturing and the FMCG industry both in SA and internationally.
He particularly enjoys Funk, R&B and Jazz music while his favourite instruments are the rhythm, lead and bass guitar. He has a particular love for fine food and is always on the lookout for exciting new culinary experiences.
Sean holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering.
Simon Ndimande joined Twinsaver Group as a Supply Chain Director in November 2015. He is responsible for all supply chain functions including Supply Planning, Strategic Sourcing, Logistics and Customer Care.
Upon joining the Twinsaver Group, he brought with him over 12 years experience in the FMCG industry, 7 years in packaging, and 9 years in the Chemicals and Explosives industries.
He spends most of his spare time with family and he is an ardent soccer fan who enjoys watching both local and international soccer on television.
Simon holds a National Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, BTech in Business Administration, CPIM and GCC (Factories).
