This position is to serve as the Finance Partner to the Supply Chain (Distribution, Procurement, and Planning) as well as Operations functions. As Finance Business Partner the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the routine monthly management accounts as well as the budgeting, forecasting and reporting to ensure that the company’s financial management is in line with the financial strategy in place. With a strong emphasis on analysis, this role will be responsible for utilising financial models to assist the Supply Chain and Operations functions in its overarching strategy.
Responsible for disseminating Operational specific information that is relevant, accurate and satisfies the requirements of all interested parties.
Interpreting cost drivers and overall commentary on financial results with corrective action recommendations.
Ensuring accurate costing to facilitate effective measurement and decision making.
Prepare and analyse rolling forecasts, annual budgets and long range plans.
Reconciling management account to financials monthly.
Prepare monthly management reports integrating financial and economic information.
Provide advisory service to management team on financial outcomes and expense trends.
Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers.
Conduct awareness sessions for management team covering relevant financial topics.
Direct and support business in the Integrated Business Planning process.
Advising on financial implications and consequences of business decisions.
Offering professional judgment on financial matters and advising on ways of improving business performance.
Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed.
Coordinating of external audit processes from a Supply Chain and Operations perspective.
Management of 3rd party Tissue Converting from a Twinsaver Group Finance perspective.
Management of the VIP (Value Improvement Process) in the business.
Management of the Supply Chain/Operations budget process.
Management of the B-BBEE compliance function.
Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts.
Educational Qualifications and Experience
BCOM Accounting Degree is essential
Must have been responsible for site budget of R 100 million +
7+ years’ experience in a FMCG / manufacturing environment
4+ years in a management role
Be computer literate, have good working knowledge of MS word and Advanced Excel with Modelling ability.
